Atkinson Hyperlegible is a neo-grotesque sans-serif typeface developed
specifically to enhance legibility and readability for individuals
with low vision, featuring distinct letterforms that prioritize
character recognition and minimize visual ambiguity. Named after
J. Robert Atkinson, the founder of the Braille Institute of America,
the font was created in collaboration between the Braille Institute
and the New York-based design studio Applied Design Works, with
Elliott Scott serving as the lead designer.
