Dbmate is a lightweight, framework-independent database migration tool.
It uses plain SQL migrations and supports PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB,
SQLite, ClickHouse, and BigQuery.
Requires google-go-lang (Go 1.26 or newer) at build time. The SlackBuild
compiles offline using the supplied vendor archive. SQLite support is
included and uses cgo.
Set DATABASE_URL in the environment or a project-local .env file, then
use "dbmate new migration_name" to create a migration and "dbmate up"
to apply it. See /usr/doc/dbmate-<version>/README.md for usage.
Schema dumps require the appropriate database client in PATH: sqlite3
for SQLite, mariadb-dump or mysqldump for MySQL/MariaDB, or pg_dump for
PostgreSQL. SQLite and MariaDB clients are included in Slackware.
PostgreSQL clients are available from the optional postgresql package.
Use a dump client compatible with the database server. To disable
automatic schema dumps, pass --no-dump-schema before the command.
