figlet (program for making large letters out of ordinary text)

FIGlet is a program for making large letters out of ordinary text

This contains the standard distribution fonts but more are available
from the homepage. Fonts should be untarred into /usr/share/figlet/

Example:

$ figlet Hello World
 _   _      _ _        __        __         _     _ 
| | | | ___| | | ___   \ \      / /__  _ __| | __| |
| |_| |/ _ \ | |/ _ \   \ \ /\ / / _ \| '__| |/ _` |
|  _  |  __/ | | (_) |   \ V  V / (_) | |  | | (_| |
