peektea is a minimal terminal file browser written in Go using Bubble
Tea. It supports vim-style navigation, previews, filtering, sorting,
hidden files, and configurable file openers.
Building requires google-go-lang (Go 1.24.4 or newer). The vendor
archive must come from the exact v0.2.1 source release and extract as
vendor/ inside the source directory. Compilation uses vendored modules
and does not download dependencies or a Go toolchain.
Optional dependencies:
bat (https://github.com/sharkdp/bat): highlighted text previews.
chafa (https://hpjansson.org/chafa/): image previews in the terminal.
Run "peektea init" as your normal user to configure file openers. The
configuration is stored in ~/.peektea.toml. File-opening programs must
be installed separately. Do not run the application as root for setup.
Manage this Slackware package with installpkg, upgradepkg, and
removepkg; the upstream README's installer and self-uninstall
instructions are not the package-management workflow for this build.
