15.0 > System > pueue (4.0.4)

pueue manages a queue of shell commands, with sequential and parallel
execution, task groups, persistent logs, and pause/resume controls.
The package includes the pueue client and pueued daemon.

Building requires rust-opt with Rust 1.88 or newer. The vendor archive
provides dependencies for offline compilation. Rust is not needed to
run the installed programs. CARGO_BUILD_JOBS defaults to 2 and can be
set to control build parallelism.

Run pueued as your normal user, either in a separate terminal or with
"pueued --daemonize". Then use "pueue add 'command'", "pueue status",
and "pueue log". Use "pueue shutdown" to stop an unmanaged daemon.
Queued commands run with the daemon user's permissions; do not start
the daemon as root for ordinary use.

Configuration and task data are created by the application in the user's
XDG directories. The package does not create user configuration, start
the daemon, or enable autostart. Users manage their own startup setup.
Bash, Zsh, and Fish client completions are included.
