Stellarium shows a realistic sky in 3D, just like what you see with the
naked eye, binoculars or a telescope. It is being used in planetarium
projectors. Just set your coordinates and go.
For reasonable performance, you will want to have some kind of 3D
acceleration.
gpsd is an optional dependency for enabling location detection through
a GPS device.
qt6 is another optional dependency. It should enable speech and the sky
culture converter component. To enable building using qt6, set the QT6
variable before building:
QT6=yes sh stellarium.SlackBuild
NOTE: for the qt6 build to work, you need to build BOTH the CalcMySky
and QXlsx dependencies with qt6 too.
This requires: nlopt, libindi, md4c, CalcMySky, QXlsx
